Material-friendly production by means of waterjet cutting
Computer-controlled waterjet cutting is a fast, precise and extremely economical CNC manufacturing method suitable for prototypes and series production. As a cold cutting process, it is particularly gentle on the material and, thanks to its great precision, even complex shapes and minimal radii are no problem.
Waterjet cutting is basically suitable for all metals and plastics. Even particularly hard materials such as marble and titanium are cut by the CNC Waterjet machine tools with maximum precision.

Briefly explained
How does waterjet cutting work?
In waterjet cutting, an extreme high-pressure water jet is used to cut through the material and shape it. The pressure at which the water jet hits the material surface is between 4,000 and 6,000 bar. The jet reaches exit velocities of up to 1,000 m/s.
Depending on the hardness of the starting material, pure water is used for cutting or a mixture of water and special sharp-edged garnet sand is used for abrasive cutting. Like all machining processes, it is a material-removing process, i.e. a subtractive process.
Waterjet cutting enables impressively burr-free cutting precision. Among a number of possible applications, waterjet cutting is therefore particularly suitable today, for example, for engraving in the finest quality.
