We process personal and technical data strictly necessary to execute engineering reviews, calculate custom manufacturing quotes, manage B2B production orders, and maintain platform security.

  • Company name, registered business address, billing address, and VAT Identification Number (UID-Nummer).

B. Technical Assets & Intellectual Property (CAD Data)

  • 3D CAD models (STEP, IGES, STL, etc.) and 2D technical drawings (PDF, DWG, DXF).
  • Material specifications, surface finishes, dimensional tolerances, quantities, and manufacturing notes.

C. System Usage & Technical Data

  • IP address, browser type and version, operating system, and device metadata.
  • Access timestamps, referring URLs, and session data collected automatically via essential cookies.

3. CAD Data Confidentiality & IP Security

We recognize that uploaded technical drawings and 3D models represent proprietary intellectual property.

  • Data Encryption: All CAD uploads, technical transmissions, and platform communications are secured using SSL/TLS encryption protocols.
  • Supplier Anonymization: Before technical files are routed to our vetted manufacturing facilities or production partners for feasibility checks, all client logos, company metadata, title blocks, and corporate identifiers are automatically stripped out.
  • Non-Disclosure Protocols: Access to technical drawings is strictly restricted to authorized engineering personnel and verified production partners bound by active, legally enforceable Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs).

4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

We process personal and technical data under the following legal grounds under the GDPR:

  • Contract Performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): Processing is necessary to review RFQs, provide custom quotes, fulfill purchase orders, and arrange international logistics.
  • Legitimate Business Interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): Processing is necessary to secure our platform infrastructure, protect proprietary CAD assets, prevent fraud, and optimize our B2B procurement services.
  • Legal Obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR): Processing is necessary to comply with European tax, commercial, customs, and export control laws.

5. Third-Party Data Sharing & International Transfers

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data or technical drawings. Data is shared exclusively under the following conditions:

  • Internal Manufacturing Hubs & Production Partners: Technical data is shared strictly on a need-to-know basis with our internal manufacturing facilities, including Robtrix Precision, Ludhiana, Punjab, India, and vetted partners to execute your manufacturing order.
  • Logistics & Freight Forwarders: Shipping addresses and contact details are provided to commercial logistics carriers, such as DHL Express, FedEx, and air freight operators, to execute delivery under DAP/DDP terms.
  • Cloud & IT Infrastructure: Data is processed on secure cloud systems bound by Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) under Art. 28 GDPR.
  • International Data Safeguards: For cross-border data transfers outside the European Economic Area (EEA), we implement standard contractual clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission to ensure a level of data protection equivalent to EU standards.

6. Data Retention & CAD Purging

  • Commercial & Tax Records: Invoices, purchase orders, and accounting records are retained in accordance with statutory Austrian commercial and tax law retention periods (typically up to 7 to 10 years).
  • Technical CAD Files: Uploaded 3D CAD models and 2D technical drawings are retained for as long as necessary to complete manufacturing, conduct quality audits, and facilitate potential re-orders.
  • Purge Requests: Clients may request the permanent deletion of their proprietary CAD assets from our active storage systems at any time by contacting info@robtrix.com.

7. Your Rights Under the GDPR

As a data subject located within the EU/EEA, you hold the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of Access (Art. 15 GDPR): Request confirmation and copies of personal data stored by us.
