High-Precision Waterjet Cutting: Material-Friendly & Built to Scale
Get fast, accurate, and cost-effective parts with computer-controlled waterjet technology. As a cold-cutting process, waterjet machining prevents heat distortion, preserving your material’s integrity while effortlessly cutting intricate shapes, tight radii, and complex geometries.
Versatile Across All Substrates:
- Metals & Plastics: Suitable for standard, technical, and high-performance polymers.
- Ultra-Hard Materials: Precision cutting for tough materials like titanium and marble.
- Scalable Production: Optimized for rapid prototyping up to full series runs.
PROCESS EXPLAINED
How Waterjet Cutting Works
Waterjet machining relies on an ultra-high-pressure stream of water forced at 4,000 to 6,000 bar to slice through and shape raw materials. Speeds can reach up to 1,000 m/s at the nozzle, creating incredible kinetic energy.
Depending on material density, the process uses either a stream of pure water or mixes in sharp abrasive garnet sand for tough substrates. As a subtractive manufacturing technique, it delivers virtually burr-free edges and extreme accuracy, making it ideal for everything from heavy-duty profiling to ultra-fine detail engraving.
Technical Capabilities & Supported Materials
At Robtrix, our CNC waterjet cutting operations are fully custom-built to match your exact engineering requirements. Rather than limiting your designs to rigid dimensional boundaries, our advanced multi-axis waterjet cutting systems adapt to a broad spectrum of part geometries, tight manufacturing tolerances, and specialized surface finish specifications.
Whether you need a single prototype or high-volume series production, our team is equipped to meet your project’s precise needs feel free to contact us directly to discuss your specific technical requirements and dimensions.
To support diverse industrial applications, we work with a comprehensive selection of certified metals, high-grade alloys, and synthetic polymers. Our core material lineup includes Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Steel Alloys, Brass, Bronze, and Copper. For high-performance and specialized applications, we regularly process Titanium, Inconel and superalloys, advanced Engineering Ceramics, robust Plastics, and Specialty Composites. Additional custom materials are also available upon request.
